Agricultural Tours in Zambia

Let ZAMAG Tours and Safaris share their experience in Zambia with you one on of our highly customised farm tours. Zambia is said to be the future "bread basket of Africa", with a very high percentage of arable land.

Since independence in 1964 Zambia has remained one of the most peaceful countries within Africa.  With just over 17 million people, Zambia is relatively under populated for the size of the country, which is 752,614 square kilometres (about the size of Texas), compared to her neighbours such as Congo (60 million) and Tanzania (40 million).  There are 73 different tribal dialects spoken in Zambia, but English is the official National Language and people are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Zambia has over 40% of Africa’s water and with the vast tracts of fertile land, and this has resulted in an influx of investors from all over the world keen to harness the under-utilised commercial agriculture potential.

Zambia produces maize, wheat, soya, beef, pork, poultry, dairy, coffee, cotton, tobacco, and flowers. Agriculture is primarily in the form of 86,000 subsistence farmers, who mainly grow crops to feed their families, and 500 commercial farmers.

Zambia also has some incredible national parks, along with the Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world.
