Wasa Lodge lies on the edge of Lake Wasa in the eastern half of the Kasanka National Park.  Wasa Lodge is perfectly situated for easy access to the tree hide at Fibwe. Standing at 18 metres high in a mahogany tree, this hide provides a fantastic view over the Kapabi swamp and is known to be one of the best vantage points for spotting the sitatunga antelope. The park is best known for its incredible birding and if you visit Kasanka in November and December, you will witness an enormous gathering of up to 15 million fruit bats.  This is one of the highest concentrations of mammals anywhere on the planet and watching them fly at sunset is an awesome sight.

Wasa Lodge offers 4 large chalets, 3 smaller rondavels and a family/guides chalet. 5 out of the 7 units have stunning views over Lake Wasa while the remaining 2 units are set back in the treeline. The main lodge area is raised and a wonderful location to take in the views, the birdlife and puku, sitatunga and hippo which are usually in view. All units can be setup as a double or twin bed arrangement and offer en-suite bathrooms with either donkey boiler or bucket shower systems and flush toilets. Self catering, full board and fully inclusive accommodation is available at Wasa Lodge.
