Changa Safari Camp is located in the Matusadona National Park, Kariba. This Safari Camp enjoys a private concession area within the Park and boasts nearly 4kilometers of Lakeshore frontage.
The camp has 8 Deluxe East African Styled luxury tents which sleep a maximum of 16 adults. Two of the tents are family units with inter-leading children’s tents. All of the tents are private and exclusive and have en-suite facilities, an ‘under the stars’ bath and shower, and private deck with stunning views of the mysterious Matusadona Mountains.
The Central area includes a tastefully furnished Lounge / library, separate dining-room, bar, swimming pool and change rooms. These utilities have been strategically placed to take advantage of the prevailing winds and afford guests the opportunity to savor the magnificent lake views across a sandy beach.
Miomba woodlands and Mopane scrublands, pristine riverine vegetation, crystal clear lake water and grass flanked shoreline all combine to create a unique habitat for healthy populations of African Mammals. Elephants, who have adapted to a semi aquatic lifestyle, frequent the shoreline, as do numerous species of antelope, their feeding patterns governed by the ever changing lake levels. Lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah occur in good numbers and a small, but very important population of the endangered black rhino, roam the Park. The birdlife is prolific with in excess of 240 species having been identified in the Park.
Changa Safari Camp offers a variety of activities focusing on a true Wilderness and Wildlife experience. These activities include safari walks, game drives and fishing.
