Situated in the middle of Botswana’s Kalahari Desert, Jack’s camp will give you a magical experience different from any other lodge. It is a haven in the magnificent desert, and the vast open spaces and brooding silence of the pans make this camp unique.
A classical campsite is set against the backdrop of a grove of palms. The 10 tents are spacious and stylish with ensuite facilities. A well stocked library and natural history museum are set within the mess tent and a pool is available for cooling off. The whole camp lends itself to the history of the area and camping in classical comfortable style as they did many many years ago.
A lot happens in the middle of nowhere and activities include meerkat interaction, cultural experience with a group of Bushmen, game drives to experience the unique desert wildlife, and visiting Chapmans Baobab-a historical site. In the dry months quad biking over the expanse of the pans is on offer, as well as lying on the pans and watching the sun set and the myriad of stars fill the never ending skies.
In the green season you can experience the migration of zebra and wildebeest, the second biggest migration in Africa. At this time of year birdlife is prolific.
