Mukambi Safari Lodge is commonly known as “The Gateway to The Kafue National Park”. It is located in the park, right on the banks of the stunning Kafue River. The Kafue National Park is one of the largest national parks in Africa.
All accommodation is positioned along the Kafue River at walking distance from the main lodge area. There are 8 chalets of which one is a family unit with en-suite bathroom, 24hrs electricity and hot water. Each chalet sleeps 2 people. The family chalet has 2 en-suite bedrooms and a lounge for relaxation. There is 1 luxury family Villa with 2 bedrooms both en-suite, a fully furnished living room and an extensive wooden deck overlooking the Kafue River. There are also 4 Luxury tents that have a private deck surrounded by natural riverine bush. A freestanding ball and claw bathtub is found on each deck, overlooking the river. The tents have an open bathroom set up with shower, toilet and washbasin.
Mukambi is unfenced and attracts a variety of animals including warthog, antelope, hyena, elephant, lion and leopard that visit the camp, particularly during the dry winter months.
