Jacana Camp is located in the wetlands of the Okavango Delta in the Jao Concession. Surrounded by seasonally-inundated floodplains and papyrus swamps, Jacana Camp has five en-suite Meru-style tents, including a family tent, built on raised wooden decks to facilitate its panoramic views of the Okavango Delta. The main dining area is on an elevated platform between two magnificent sycamore fig trees and surrounded by dense wild date palms. Jacana Camp also has a cosy lounge with an area for an open fire under the stars; and a plunge pool for cooling off in the midday sun.
A water wonderland, home to definitive Delta bird and animal species, from red lechwe to Pel’s fishing-owl. Mokoro adventures reveal crystal-channels and beautiful panoramas. Jacana Camp is a true watercamp and reveals the magic and mystique of this area. Described as a Delta heaven, guests can sit and watch the water, birds, hippo, elephant and otter family frolicking in the water.
