The Makgadikgadi Pans rides (5 nights, 6 days) starts off at Camp Kalahari, situated on the edge of the Makgadikgadi salt pan. The attractive camp comprises a thatched living and dining area, a library and a swimming pool. 10 spacious meru style tents make up the accommodation and each tent has en-suite facilities. The first 3 nights of this ride are spent here.
Rides will take you out into the meandering shoreline of this ancient lake bed with perfect ground for exhilarating riding. In the rainy season you will explore the adjoining grasslands and woodlands where water holes attract thousands of migrating zebra and wildebeest. Unique species of wildlife in the area are springbok, gemsbok, red hartebeest, brown hyena and meerkats.
From Camp Kalahari you move out into more wilderness and will camp a night in a more basic camp, and then will spend an incredible night sleeping out in the middle of nowhere under the stars in a camp bed . Here you will definitely experience the sound of silence and there will be no visual landmark! An experience of a lifetime.
